Cookstown Koa Camp site vs Barcelona Spain

THIS IS ELLE
So I have been bitten by the travel bug, or maybe I am trying to pretend I am living through my niece Elle.

THIS IS ME DANCING BECAUSE I AM SO HAPPY AND PROUD OF ELLE'S ADVENTURE !

Barcelona Spain
This is the  place that Elle is traveling to
This is the place I traveled to: Cookstown, just above Toronto

That is me gardening ! No one noticed me because I was wearing my beautiful yellow shirt.
Nick and I ( OK this is a picture of the owners of this camp site)

We decided to go camping OK I decided to go in the web and find a KOA campsite and get Nick and Jake excited about going with me camping. I got my hands on a 13 man tent
OK now you know the lay out of this tent and there was 2 adults and one child. I felt that we needed a large house. I had gone camping with my family members a few years ago and lets just say that we all became a very close family after this adventure. Macy was my sleeping partner on our air mattress that had a slight hole in it and whenever we moved the other person would go shooting up in the air because one side would be flat and the other side had all the air in it. I think that when they say the tent sleeps six or eight they mean in a sleeping mat. I say WHAT !! I need a queen size mattress for two people so that is why when I was given a 13 man tent.I said Yes I need that size for four people.
So we had a tent and a soft sided cooler and I borrowed a propane stove, light and air mattress for me. So we arrive at the campsite full of excitement to put up the tent and jump in the pool. Did I tell you that it was about 40 degrees outside and with the sun out full force with no shade available.OK no trees,no cover,no nothing ! So there was a small trailer in our campsite. Can you believe someone took our spot ! We are new at this. Now I would not set up the tent before I made sure that we were in the right spot . So,then we opened the bag up and the instructions were attached on the side . We did amazing job putting it up. Just as the last post was put in the KOA staffer came by and informed us we had set up in the wrong spot! We both were having heat stroke . I was thinking just leave the tent there and drive off and don't admit to anything. But the helpful staffers just pulled out the posts and we all walked our house two sites over.I can't thank the Cookstown KOA staff. After figuring out the tent for the second time in two hours,we felt it was time to go to the pool. Because we were so late the pool was empty by now. Every other camper was making dinner but not us, we were swimming. You know the feeling that you get when you are totally relaxed and not a care in the world.Well, that was what I was feeling swimming in the just right temperature clean pool. I couldn't image that we were just less that an hour out of Toronto and feeling like we were on a true vacation.
This little cabin .....not our campsite
Not even this one!
This would cost $100.00 of BB bucks !

For our lot of land only $43.00
This is our site!
Now I did some web surfing to compare with my trip and Elle's adventure

So this is what I have to compete with Spain vs Ontario !
We were able to
play chess or checkers on a very large board
Mining FUNmining for fossils and gems
We had an amazing time eating  hot dogs, corn cooked on the fire pit and of course roasted marshmallows. We woke up in the morning to the bright blue sky above us,surrounded by nature and wonderful bird singing. We had a great time and can't hardy wait to do it again. Thanks KOA!

A Great Birthday

My brother Michael, sister-in-law Tami  and nephew Jett came by with an amazing birthday gift ! A pearl bracelet and a pair of pearl earrings. The advice I received for care of this gift is the last to put on when going out and the first to take off when finished wearing them. I want to be able to pass these pieces of jewelery to my family members. LOL We walked up the street for a great Thai dinner and came house for birthday cake.
I also was taken out for lunch at High Park Restaurant for their amazing $2.99 breakfast in the beautiful park surrounded by trees, flowers and the sound of a waterfall from the restaurant. I love this special : it includes three large farm free eggs, bacon/ham or sausage . home fries and toast. What an amazing deal! Great service ,beautiful surrounding and unbelievable price. This is the best breakfast deal in the city!
I would love to give Elle a shout out ! This is the time to be early for appointments ha ha !

Happy Birthday to me !

Hello
I am writing my first blog on my Birthday evening
I will be turning 54 this year
By the time I turn 55 I am planning to become the best I can be !
I am making a life plan:
to exercise, yoga and mediate each day
learn how to manage my finances so I will have money to travel and do the things that I deserve to do in my life.
I am so proud of my niece Elle, she has worked hard for many of her teen years, saved her money, studied hard and received great grades and now is travelling around Europe for 30 days.
Oh My God!

My wishes for the next year is to take a train ride out west to visit my aunt with my niece/nephew . I would love to book a sleeper room on Via Rail so we all can see Canada's beautiful nature.  I would have loved to have met Elle in Paris because I was visiting Paris when she was born I guess that is was not to be at this time.l love Paris and would move there tomorrow if I could.
My next plan of action for 2012 is to be a Mary Kay director by June 2012. This time I know that I have to have a action plan with a time line, so I will know every day as I wake to , what me plan for the day is. How do you eat an elephant ? Bite by bite !
Elle.

I am sending you a reminder Don't forget to brush your teeth LOL
Love you all Please feel free to comment about my blog.
